August 2024: Our summer employee of the month is our Groundskeeper Maintenance Worker, Richard Witt. Said of his nominators, “Rich joined the facilities department last Spring and has been a wonderful addition to the team. Rich goes the extra mile and he inspires smiles for miles with his good nature, positivity, and SRA Ranger attitude. He is always pleasant to be around and is very helpful. Rich has worked hard over the summer to update many of our irrigation and grounds projects and help plant more flowers and plants in our empty planters. Rich is one of the all-stars who worked additional hours to assist in many projects to have the grounds and campus ready for the new school year.”
septSeptember 2024: Our Classified Employee of the Month is our Principal’s Administrative Assistant, Nichelle Conte. Nichelle has been with SRA for over 10 years and has been serving as a very important part of our SRA community. She is the first person anyone calls, staff, teachers, or parents if they need any information or help with anything. She is a wealth of knowledge and experience that all staff and student families have relied on. She is a true example of “firm but fair”. Nichelle supports our school's integrity and excellence by referring to school policies and procedures as a means of doing what is right. All the while, she provides respectful service to inquiries and seeks to provide the best information possible. She truly appreciates what it means to be a Ranger, and we are fortunate to have her serving our community
septSeptember 2024: Our Certificated Employee of the Month is one of our 3rd grade Teachers, Michelle Myers. While she is new to our school, she has already started to support our school and students in numerous ways. Most recently she’s been supporting the ELOP program and helping further by using her expertise to plan and deliver a professional development session for some of our elementary grade levels. She has jumped right in and has displayed flexibility, positivity, and helpfulness throughout her first few weeks at SRA. Melissa has been kind, helpful, and supportive in all possible ways. Her time, patience, and desire to make sure the 3rd grade team is well prepared for school each day. Thank you Mrs. Myers!
octOctober 2024: Our classified employee of the month is one of our all-star custodians, Mr. Ismael Mejia. We agree fully with his nominators with their reported sentiments, “Everyday Mr. Mejia comes into work with a positive attitude. Always willing to step in no matter the task. His knowledge of the scheduling of events on campus to knowing all phases of the facilities department makes him stand out as a team player. He is one of the quiet heroes on campus that make Santa Rosa so special. Mr. Mejia is a great team player for the facilities department and fully deserves to be recognized by all Santa Rosa staff.”

octOctober 2024: Our certificated employee of the month is one of our stand-out MS teachers and coach, Mr. Joe Chavez. “Mr. Chavez dedicates his time to the younger students before school and to the older students who are in football after school. He is passionate about his work here and his students. Mr. Chavez is a kind person who does a great job at anything he sets his mind to!” We are very grateful for Mr. Chavez and his service to our children at Santa Rosa Academy.
novNovember 2024: Our Classified employee of the month is our Administrative Assistant for curriculum and library, Maria “Nina” Payan. She is nominated because Mrs. Payan exemplifies dedication and passion in her role, consistently demonstrating a genuine love for her work. She is incredibly helpful and shows impressive flexibility, managing multiple
tasks with ease whenever needed. Her commitment to providing outstanding customer
service is evident, as she goes above and beyond to accommodate the needs of SRA parents and students, ensuring they have the necessary educational materials and support. Nina’s positive impact and dedication to our community make her an invaluable asset to our team, and her contributions are truly appreciated by all.
novNovember 2024: Our Certificated employee of the month is one of our 4th grade BT Teachers, Mrs. Kelsey Sanchez. Her nominations highlighted many noteworthy points. Mrs. Kelsey Sanchez exhibits exceptional dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to our school community. Mrs. Sanchez consistently goes above and beyond her duties, embodying the values of SRA with humility and grace. This year, Mrs. Sanchez volunteered to lead the 5th-grade Leadership Club, offering students meaningful guidance and fostering a positive, collaborative environment. Additionally, she took the initiative to launch the 2024-25 Accelerated Reader (AR) program across the entire elementary school, coordinating closely with teachers to ensure a seamless implementation that benefits both students and staff. Mrs. Sanchez is a role model of professionalism and devotion to SRA, consistently upholding our school’s expectations and inspiring students to do the same. Though she often works without seeking recognition, her contributions are invaluable. Her actions reflect a genuine love for our students and our community, making her more than deserving of this honor. Mrs. Sanchez’s dedication and teamwork are evident each year, and we are fortunate to have her on our team. It is overdue to formally acknowledge her efforts and show our appreciation.
decDecember 2024: Our Classified Employee of the Month is one our Instructional Aides, Mrs. Leslie Tuttle. Mrs. Tuttle has been a total lifesaver since joining SRA! She is enthusiastic about math and cares deeply about helping our students to understand it. The teachers she supports are complimenting her skills, expressing their gratitude for being so skilled and helpful. We are so incredibly thankful for Mrs. Tuttle and the students like having her in the class with them too. She is an invaluable asset to SRA!
decDecember 2024: Our Certificated Employee of the Month is one of our HS Spanish Teachers, Mr. Zachary Ross. Mr. Ross always has a positive attitude and is willing to help others. He has performed with distinction both as the Senior Class Advisor and as Teacher. His work on influence on campus goes beyond his work as a teacher. He mentors both staff and students and is a significant positive contributor to our campus environment and morale. Mr. Ross is a one-in-a-million type of person, and our community continues to be immensely blessed by his service.
janJanuary 2025: Our Classified Employee of the Month is one of our Campus Supervisors, Ms. Camille Aguilar. Ms. Aguilar is always so inviting and makes others smile daily. Camille was nominated for amazing support in the kindergarten playground and her kindness with students at the Little's lunch table. She is always opening containers, helping to clean them up, and is nurturing to our students. Ms. Aguilar helps makes our students feel comfortable and safe. We are thankful for Camille’s great service and contributions in our community.
janJanuary 2025: Our Certificated Employee of the Month is our 4th Grade White Track Education Advisor, Mrs. Meaghan Hixson. Meaghan is phenomenal! She is a dedicated and hard-working person. Mrs. Hixson goes above and beyond to meet the various needs of her students. She also serves as the 4th grade leadership club advisor. Mrs. Hixson is constantly adjusting to help make learning ideal for all the students and handles issues with professionalism.  Meaghan is a wonderful member of our community and SRA is so lucky to have her.
