Bio:
My name is Ammi Carranza-Arango. I am the current 8th grade English Language Arts Teacher. Before this position, I was over at the High School teaching 10th grade English Language Arts. I have been working at SRA for some months now, but have also worked at Heights Christian Schools, Hemet USD, and Valverde USD in 6-12th grade. To get here, I studied English Language Arts and Education for many years at UCR and earned two degrees, a teaching credential, and language certifications. In all experiences, my goal has been to educate students to critically think about the world around them and effectively communicate their ideas through language literacy. I am very passionate about language and communication and the power it holds to share our stories. On my free time, I also love to spend quality time with people outdoors, playing board games, and sharing a homemade meal--or by myself tucked away reading a book, writing, or working on some kind of art. I also love to volunteer my time working with youth outside of schools at church or the community. All in all, I like to get involved in spaces where I can share my knowledge and creativity with others, as well as learn from them on the other hand too!

English Language Arts, Creative Writing, and Arts.
Hobbies:
Outdoor Activities, Reading/Writing, Playing Guitar, Arts/Design, Interior Decorating, Cooking/Baking, and Spending time with Family.
