I was born and raised in San Diego and have two amazing children. We moved to Menifee in January of 2022 and I have a son in 2nd grade and a daughter in 8th grade, both at SRA. I love to travel and have lived in the UK for two years: first in Preston, England and then in Leeds, England where I earned my M.A. in American Literature. I obtained my credential and M.Ed from the University of San Diego when I returned back to the states. I have been teaching high school English for eleven years, taught yearbook for four years and journalism for four years. I am also an adjunct professor at MSJC in addition to the dual enrollment English teacher at SRA.

I love experiences: concerts, plays, musicals, travelling, anything that connects me to other people. I love reading with a good cup of coffee. I have two dogs, Fitzgerald & Garvey. I love learning about other people, their cultures and customs. I am incredibly sarcastic and love my students and their unique personalities. I teach to be the teacher I once needed and believe strongly in the power of language and critical thinking which is why I am passionate about teaching English.
