Bio:
I am excited to be teaching 2nd Grade at Santa Rosa Academy! I have 13 years of teaching experience, including the past 10 years in 2nd grade — my favorite place to be. I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education and truly love helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally during such an important stage of learning. I strive to help students build confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
My goal is to create a classroom that feels welcoming, supportive, and fun while still maintaining high expectations for learning and behavior. In our class, we work hard, practice kindness, celebrate growth, and enjoy plenty of laughter and silliness along the way. I believe students learn best when they feel safe, encouraged, and excited to come to school each day.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and watching my 2-year-old daughter learn and grow.
