Cousins Liam James Diaz (2nd grade) and Jerard Caleb Garcia (8th grade) recently competed in the U.S. Open Taekwondo Championship—an international tournament sanctioned by World Taekwondo and USA Taekwondo, featuring top athletes from countries such as the United States, Canada, French Polynesia, Cuba, Israel, and Kyrgyzstan.
Liam made his debut as a World Class Blackbelt in the -24kg division and earned a bronze medal. Caleb, representing Team USA as a National Team member, won the gold medal in the World Class Black Belt Cadet -45kg division after dominant performances against international competitors.
We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments, which reflect not only their hard work and passion but also the values of excellence, integrity, respect, and discipline that closely align with Santa Rosa Academy’s mission.
