In 2019, Brooklyn's Dad, Jeremy Carty, was deployed to Iraq for nearly a year, and during that time away, Brooklyn and Mr. Carty were able to keep the nightly routines they used to have at home, which helped her with anxiety. Mr. Carty said, "One part of the routine was to pray, and the other was coming up with a story and theme for her. In this process, we decided to keep the theme the same for a bit and created a book out of it."
