Meet Danika Holmquist, an incoming sophomore and part of the SRA Cheerleader team.

She will join Teens from across the country to raise awareness and advocate for policies that support her brother, sister, and many others living with Cystic Fibrosis.

Danika's brother, Broc (going into 5th grade), and sister Aubrey ( going into 8th grade) have Cystic Fibrosis, a progressive genetic disease that mainly affects the lungs and other organs. Aubrey and Broc take dozens of daily medications and spend hours on daily vest and nebulizer treatments. Aubrey even has a G-Tube (feeding tube) to help her maintain her calories to stay healthy. They have to see many specialists every three months or more to keep on top of their health.

Danika's mom, Jasmine Holmquist, said, "I am very proud of Danika as she is a great big sister and helps her brother and sister with their treatments and medication. She will get to share her personal story about Cystic Fibrosis with members of Congress!"
