We are overjoyed to share some good news with our community. Recently our wonderful Academic Advisor, Mrs. McMullen, decided to prepare our school for her eventual retirement. She will be working as a Red Track Teacher-On-Special-Assignment and will transition our school counseling program to our new full-time school counselors. We recognized our students need enhanced levels school counseling in our efforts to provide for excellence in care for our students in our COVID-19 touched world.

Our part-time Mental Health Counselor, Marissa Gains, will now become a full-time School Counselor, focusing on the school counseling needs of our TK-8 grade students. She was a wonderful addition to our family last year and her impact was meaningful during the aftermath of our sudden thrust into distance learning.

We also now welcome Chris Lowe to our SRA family. He is a seasoned school counseling veteran with years of charter school experience; supporting students across multiple programs. He is well regarded in his field and has a heart as big as the moon for doing great work for students and families. He will be focusing on the school counseling needs of our high school students.

SRA is a highly sought-after employment destination; nearly 90 applicants vied to join our SRA team as a School Counselor. Both of these fine individuals won over our search committee who examined applications and interviewed candidates. Here are the links to letters from our School Counselors to introduce themselves to our community into their new roles at SRA.
