Good Morning, SRA Families:

The students at SRA have had a long-standing uniform policy in place. During the past few weeks, some families have initiated questions about uniforms. An earlier communication this morning was issued in part to confirm that SRA has a student uniform policy for those asking these questions. The policy has not been changed from last year. While many people were hoping to resume school this year in a manner as normal as possible, that choice was taken away by orders issued about schools’ reopening under distance learning.

At SRA, we believe it is essential for us to conduct school is as normal a manner as we reasonably can for distance learning. Maintaining and replicating as much of the regular school routine as reasonably possible is done with the best interests in mind for our students. Typically, students would be participating in class alongside their classmates, with hair and teeth brushed, uniform on, breakfast in their tummy, and ready to tackle the lessons of the day. While on distance learning, participating in the virtual classroom, we can reasonably maintain a similar routine of being in visual class with the teacher, teeth and hair brushed, uniform on, breakfast in their tummy, and ready to tackle the lessons of the day.

We look forward to seeing all the students again in class. If your children have been anything like mine, they are more eager than ever to reconnect with schoolmates and get back into a school routine. We all miss the normal routines that have been taken away from us last spring and will work hard this year to have a meaningful and successful experience for our students as we continue to be affected by the pandemic restrictions.
