Riverside County Public Health Officer, Dr. Cameron Kaiser, is ordering the cancelation of public gatherings of 250 people or more in Riverside County as a means of slowing the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
While this order does not apply to essential community services, such as the regular school day, it does mean that we need to cancel or postpone some non-essential school events, including our character assemblies, pep rallies, Donuts with Dad, and the upcoming field trips to Rock Fitness, AstroCamp, and Legoland. We will continue to monitor this county order in the coming days and assess events beyond April 2020 as we get closer.
Students with a temperature of 100 degrees and higher or persistent, dry cough will be asked to go home, and staff will be invited to ‘self-monitor’ every day for their own subjective fever and any signs of respiratory illness before entering their classrooms. Hand sanitizers have been placed throughout the campus for better student and staff access and we continue to encourage everyone to wash their hands frequently.
