Dear Ranger Staff, Students, and Families
As we officially finish the school year, I would like to thank our entire Santa Rosa Academy family for coming together during these difficult times. We worked in partnership to deliver a quality academic and character education to our students that we all should be proud of. Although there have been some challenges during our distance learning period, it has also reminded us what is truly important in all of our lives – the personal connections that we have with one another. Our school staff will be working on a plan through summer to provide the best educational options for our students while ensuring that all safety and health recommendations are followed.
I also want to take this time to tip my hat and bid farewell to our Santa Rosa Academy FAMILY. I have made the decision to accept a position to serve as Principal in another district beginning the 2020/21 school year. I couldn’t be more thankful for the relationships that have been built the last six years with all staff members, students, and families and I will cherish those relationships forever. I also want to thank Laura Badillo for bringing me on to serve our school beginning in 2014 as she has served as a great mentor and leader to us all.
I have full faith in Dr. Hennings leading Santa Rosa Academy forward and know that he will provide the stability that our school desperately needs during these times. He truly has been a pleasure to work with over the last few weeks. Our staff’s love and commitment to our students is second to none and have been the true reason why we have seen so much success in our 15 years of existence.
I do look forward to the challenges ahead and am appreciative of the support that you all have shown me in the last six years. Once a Ranger, always a Ranger!
