Lottery Priorities

Did I get in? How do I know if I am getting a spot?
If I was not in the lottery how can I get on the waiting list?
The random public lottery determines an applicant’s’ placement or wait list status. Those who request to enter the lottery after the open enrollment deadline are added to the end of the lottery wait list in the order they are received. Offers for openings are made in lottery placement / wait list order until the spots are filled or the wait list is exhausted.
Additional Lottery Information
If your child turns 5 prior to Sept. 2, your child will be enrolling into Kindergarten.
If your child turns 5 on or between 9/2 and 12/1 your child will be enrolling into Transitional Kindergarten.
More information is posted on our Transitional Kindergarten page.
Our annual lottery will be held the first Friday in March. Due to the large number of names on our lists, our Lottery is done electronically using a random list generating website. All students entered into the lottery are assigned a Lottery ID number (number assignments will be completed by February 22nd).

Important note about Staff Students:
Staff children have priority placement.
Important note about Heritage Students:
These students/siblings have priority in the lottery. A Heritage Student is identified as a student who continuously attended Santa Rosa Academy since PRIOR TO the opening of the new campus or the 2013-14 school year. These students would have attended school at the Main Campus at MSJC, Santa Rosa Academy West or the shopping center on Baxter Road in Wildomar. Heritage and Siblings need to be verified by Administration and Registrar.
Important note about Sibling Priority:
Current students who have siblings seeking entrance into Santa Rosa Academy also have priority but AFTER the Heritage Students and their siblings.
Students must be enrolled in SRA on or before August 1st, 2017 to be eligible for the following year track transfer lottery.
Any newly enrolled student will have a 30 school day waiting period before being added to the wait list as a track transfer priority. Any request for a Track Transfer before the student completes 30 school days will be denied. The 30 school day waiting period will take effect at 7:00am on the first day of enrollment and expires after 30 school days have passed. A student may make a Track Transfer request at 7:00am the day after the time period has expired.
Initial offers for the 2021/22 school year will take place in Mid March. When an offer is made, we will request that applicants notify the school within 48 hours to indicate whether or not they will accept; if offers are declined or applicants do not respond, the spot is then offered to the next applicant on the placement /wait list. Registration packets will be available for download by the last week of March as well as an invitation to an upcoming registration meeting.
